Joe Bauer is a double bassist and educator based in Oak Park and Chicago, IL. He is a tenured member of the Quad CIty Symphony, former Lecturer at Southern Illinois University, and was previously a Fellow with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. He holds a Master of Music in String Performance from Florida State University and a Bachelor of Music in Double Bass Performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. His main teachers include Albert Laszlo and Curtis Burris.
